Workshop: "From an idea to a sustainable business"
In the "American Corner" in Bihać, a workshop was held for future entrepreneurs, students, high school students and unemployed people who are thinking about starting their own business. It was the first of three planned workshops, organized by the organization "Association for Innovative Initiatives", in cooperation with the organization "Hungary Helps", the Cantonal and University Library in Bihać, and local experts.
The goal of the workshop "From an idea to a sustainable business" was to provide practical knowledge to young people, how to turn their ideas into a suitable business model, how to practically conduct market research (customers, competition, potential partners), with a special emphasis on commercial online databases and how to adequately plan and realize the online presence of their future company on the Internet.
In the first part of the workshop, participants worked on a concrete example of a business idea to develop a business model using the "Business Model Canvas" tool.
In the second part, they were introduced to practical methods of market research with the aim of identifying potential customers, methods of checking the creditworthiness of potential partners, analysis of competitors, as well as online tools for evaluating online media.
In the third part of the workshop, they learned about the "correct" way of applying digital tools in business, that is, about the planned and targeted use of certain digital tools, with the aim of achieving marketing goals.
The leader of the workshop was a marketing expert, van. prof. Ph.D. Kenan Mahmutović from the University of Bihać, who awarded two workshop participants with the book "Digital Marketing: Strategies, Tools and Tactics".
The participants of the workshop were also addressed by Mr. Denes Vig, representative of the organization "Association for Innovative Initiatives", who thanked all those present for their participation, and also announced the next workshop, which will be held on October 10, 2023. starting at 11 a.m. in the premises of "American Corner" on the topic "Registration of a business entity", and the workshop leader will be van. prof. dr. Albin Muslic.
